Sexy Dish Towels

I finished the dish towels for Roxie's graduation present.  She graduated last year, but on my part, a gift being a year late isn't actually that bad!  My average is much worse.  Sublime Stitching has really funny embroidery transfers that put the fun back into those sweet dishtowels our grandmothers made for us.
The middle one is suppose to say "Reform School Girl", but since Roxie is Catholic, I had to change that!
I still love listening to audio books while I create, so I know that the Rockabilly Angel took 6.5 hours, because I started it at the beginning of the book and finished the towel at the end of the book.  I guess I'm a slow embroiderer!

Dishtowel for Heike...

I embroidered this dishtowel for Heike. Mom made one for her too. We both did a "cappuccino" theme, because Heike loved to have her Cappuccino every day. I do a mouse theme because when Heike and Levke came to the U.S. her husband Jörg said something about his two little mice going to the big city. Moms towel has a cup of cappuccino and a cookie on a plate.

Continuation of the Sexy Librarian Embroidered Dish Towels

These are the last of the dish towels I made for Annie; the first one is at this blog post:

My Mom had a conversation with someone at work who said no one under 50 knows what a dishtowel is. Apparently nobody dries dishes anymore.
My quilt group buddies from Cave Women said the towel with the Library of Congress Classification number looks like something from a concentration camp!

The Sexy Librarian Dishtowel!

My elementary/highschool chum Annie was in town for the weekend to visit family (cheap tickets $139 RT with fees included!) so her and Roxie came over for dinner last Thursday. To all you who know Roxie, Annie and I, we had a great time talking about you! (giggle)
I embroidered the dishtowel for Annie a while ago, but didn't want to post the picture until I gave it to her.

Cat and Mouse

This fuzzy little mouse in knitted socks and a cap on a dishtowel is for Heike. Hopefully she'll get it in the mail before she sees this blog!
